Connect with the wisdom of Mistatim, the horse.
Mistatim - the horse - valued by Cree/Métis communities for loyalty, cooperation, and wisdom can teach us how to be kind to ourselves, how to be authentically us, by respecting ourselves, and setting good boundaries.
When we interact with horses, we gain feedback on how our body language and inner dialogue can affect ourselves and others, allowing us to make positive change.

HORSE, HAND, HEART (3H) - WHAT IS IT ALL ABOUT?
Tansi, Hello! I am Kim Gullion Stewart a Métis horsewoman with a life-long relationship to horses. Since childhood, horses have enhanced my quality of life. They have shown me how to live authentically, how to follow my own path in life. Now, I am passionate about bringing horses together with you where they can share their knowledge and way of being, helping you find your own path.
Why horses? Horses are not capable of judging you according to your belongings, success in life, or your cultural group. Instead they use the core values of safety and honesty to provide feedback on what your body language imparts to others, allowing you to make positive change.
As the certified EAL facilitator at 3H (horse, hand, heart), I bring people together with the horses in my herd to work through programs that improve confidence, leadership, empathy, and problem-solving skills. It's horses and people working through fundamental principles in a defined form of delivery that can make a life-changing experience. There is no riding involved and you need not have any prior experience with horses. Contact me to find out more about the programs and experiences the herd and I can offer you.

BUILDING COMMUNITY AND LEARNING VALUABLE LIFE SKILLS
HOW DOES MISTATIM TEACH?
Mistatim is a Cree and Northern Michif word for horse. Mistatim (the horse) does not judge, but has the ability to read and understand human body language and react to what a person is feeling. With the help of a trained facilitator, the horse can provide honest and instant feedback encouraging personal reflection and self-evaluation through fun and exciting exercises.
Horses are natural teachers, making their family 'herd' safe for all members.
THE METIS-MISTATIM (HORSE) CONNECTION
Mistatim, (the horse) shares an important kinship with our Métis families. In the past, horses pulled Red River carts, carried hunters out to the buffalo fields, and moved belongings from camp to camp. Many families bonded with their horse herds, understanding what a great gift they were. Today, Mistatim (the horse) can teach us about relationship building, mutual trust, respect and integrity.
Métis horse culture honours the horse as a willing partner, great companion and a mirror
into one's soul.
MY TEAM AND OUR
CORE VALUES
As a member of the Métis nation, I am passionate about Métis core values like honesty, courage and kindness and I integrate those into my practice. These same core values and more are part of how the horse (Mistatim) lives in the world. I consider my horses to be peers; equal partners and team members working together to deepen people's understanding of acceptance, leadership, and emotional support as the horse sees it. The horse's ability to stay in the moment and react honestly to whomever they see in front of them, combined with their desire to create a safe and healthy community (herd), make them ideal teachers of building good community.
Horses value honest, safe, and accepting communities.
